Some notes about Dia

Starting to use Dia to create the test diagrams for my translator, I have discovered two annoying limitations (at least on the current 0.97.3 version) :

• The text editor does not allow to do much with the text once it has been first typed, as it is not possible to copy it or select/copy parts of it (only cutting or pasting is permitted). It is only possible to click with the mouse in the middle of the text, and add a word. This is quite a critical problem when we are trying to use this to write stories,
• It is not possible to add labels to the curved or zigzag or bezier lines, only the straight lines can be labelled.

But, since i aleady have a parser ready for the Dia file format, i can already use it for the purpose of a proof of concept, and maybe switch to Yed after a while by writing a new parser... or i could contribute to Dia to help resolve those two problems.
